long told family story from Walter C. Ludekte
Chilli and Bill were street wise kids. When they were in school their teacher saw two Indians coming down the path and told the children that she was going to invite the Indians in to the school to teach them. Chilli and Bill immediately told the teacher to lock the windows and the doors and they yelled to some loggers to come quickly. The loggers ran the Indians off who were really coming into town to steal things from the school.
